Pre-college Concerto Application
Rules & Information
These auditions will be held each year during the MMTA State Conference (please reference the calendar for the date). The entry fee is $35.00. ENTRY FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
This competition is open to all instruments. Entrants must perform one movement of a standard concerto. Strings and piano entrants are required to have their repertoire memorized. Memorization is optional for brass, guitar, and woodwind entrants. Students must provide their own accompanist. (Teachers may accompany their own students for this event.)
Elementary A Concerto, grade 3 and below;
Elementary B Concerto, grades 4-6;
Junior Concerto, grades 7-9;
Senior Concerto, grades 10-12.
Application forms must be completed and fees paid no later than October 1.
MEMBERSHIP DUES MUST BE PAID BY SEPTEMBER 1 BEFORE A TEACHER MAY ENTER STUDENTS IN ANY COMPETITION.
